EXCELENT NEWS FOR INVESTORS

The Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council announced that the United States is one of the markets that contributes the most to the Riviera Maya economy with 41.12%. This was due to the drop in COVID-19 infections, the rapid vaccination, the cease of the health pass to enter the country and the increase in the number of tourist facilities. On the other hand, the Mexican Caribbean reported in 2021 an influx of more than 13 million foreigners with an economic benefit of more than 10 million dollars, which means that many airlines are opening more and more flights to the Riviera Maya (Lufthansa , Level, American Airlines, Delta Air, etc.). And the most important thing is that Quintana Roo has become one of the most visited tourist destinations by Europeans, especially by Spaniards. In 2019 alone, more than 390,000 arrivals were received and 42% visited the Riviera Maya, even if Covid infections increased, the influx did too and the same level was maintaned.
All this translates into real estate tourism, since Riviera Maya meets the necessary conditions to develop projects. Most of the capital comes from the United States and Europe. “Real estate tourism is positioned as an axis that gives greater movement to the real estate industry sector in the country, this is because Mexico has become a highly viable option for foreigners as a second home,” Pedro Fernández commented in an interview. President of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI).
